Center for Safety & Change offers free and confidential services to victims and survivors of all crimes:
Assault • Robbery • Child Abuse • Elder Abuse • Gun Violence • Kidnapping • Harassment • Homicide
These same services are also offered to the family and friends of victims.
The Center works very closely with the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office, ensuring that all victims of crime have immediate access to an advocate who can provide emotional support and information about the options available in a time of crisis, including financial assistance and compensation related to personal injury, death and the loss of essential personal property. Center advocates also support and accompany victims and survivors through the entire criminal justice process. This begins at the time a police report is filed and continues until a perpetrator is sentenced – and even beyond into a path for healing. Support is offered every step of the way, regardless of the outcome.
